The Wabash College tennis team earned three singles and one doubles victory at the 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA DIII Central Region Tournament at Kalamazoo College.

Liam Grennon,
Cole Borden, and
Tharakesh Ashokar each scored singles wins in the round of 128 on Friday. Grennon won a three-set match against Matt McGee from Baldwin Wallace by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 11-9. He lost to Colin Scruggs from Washington University – St.Louis in the next round 6-1, 6-0.

Borden opened the tournament with a 4-6, 7-5, 13-11 win against Grant Sarnowski from John Carroll. Borden was knocked out of the bracket with a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Arthur Hermange in the next round.

Ashokar defeated William Horvath from Baldwin Wallace 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 to advance to the round of 64. The Wabash sophomore lost to Diego Maza from Case Western Reserve 6-2, 6-4 to finish his tournament run.

Augusto Ghidini and
Cole Shifferly combined for an 8-4 victory in the tournament's opening round of doubles play, defeating Justin Penados and Rafael Less from North Central College. The Wabash duo lost 8-5 in the next round against Scruggs and Jared Phillips from Washington University.

Wabash wraps up the fall portion of its 2023-2024 schedule with a match at Oakland City University next Saturday.
