Wabash College freshman
Bryce Kinnaman scored his first collegiate goal in the opening minutes of the second half of Wednesday evening's soccer match at Rose-Hulman to put the visiting Little Giants in front 2-1. The host Fightin' Engineers rallied with a second-half goal to even the score and play to a 2-2 tie in the non-conference, in-state matchup.

Wabash (1-0-1) tied the score in the first half after Rose-Hulman (1-1-1) notched the contest's first goal. Connor Patton collected a loose ball off a corner kick that Wabash could not clear and scored his first goal of the season to put Rose in front 1-0.

Jose Escalante answered for Wabash, finding the back of the for the third time this season with a goal in the 20
th minute to tie the score at 1-1.

The teams remained tied for the remainder of the first half and the first minute of the second. Kinnaman took a pass from Escalante and drilled a shot for his first goal of the season to give Wabash the 2-1 lead. The Fightin' Engineers tied the match in the 60
th minute on a goal from Owen Trudt.

Wabash fired nine total shots in the contest, with four shots on goal by Escalante, Kinnaman,
Jesse Martinez, and
Andre Aguilera. Rose-Hulman took 15 shots and put five shots on goal. Little Giant goalkeeper
Fernando Ramos recorded three saves in the contest.

Wabash took five corner kicks compared to three for Rose-Hulman. The Little Giants drew four offside calls for the game.

Wabash travels to Georgia to play in the Berry College Soccer Invitational this weekend. The Little Giants open against Berry College on Saturday at noon and will face Birmingham-Southern College at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
