Wabash Drops 1-0 Contest To Nationally-Ranked Kenyon

The Wabash College soccer team found its path to the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament a bit tougher with one week remaining in the regular season after a 1-0 loss to 15th-ranked Kenyon College Saturday afternoon at Fischer Field.

The Little Giants fell to 9-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in NCAC matches. The nationally-ranked Owls are 11-2-3 and 5-1-0 in NCAC play.

Wabash remains fifth in the current conference standings with seven points. The Little Giants trail DePauw in fourth place with 11 points and third-place Ohio Wesleyan with 13 points. Wabash ends its season with a home match against Wittenberg University on Tuesday before closing on the road at Oberlin next Saturday.

The Little Giants played even with Kenyon on the scoreboard for the first 76 minutes of Saturday's match. The Owls put up five shots on goal in the match, breaking the scoreless tie in the 77th minute on Eamon Dujakovich's fourth goal of the season. Kenyon outshot Wabash 14-4.
