The Wabash College lacrosse team jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period of Saturday's game against Muskingum University, played at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Muskies scored six unanswered goals throughout the remainder of the first half to hand Wabash a 10-5 loss.

Wabash (1-1) got a goal in the first minute of the match when
Artie Rogers scored off a pass from
Quinn Fitzgerald.
Lucas Cunningham scored an unassisted goal just over a minute later to give the Little Giants the 2-0 lead.

Muskingum (2-0)Â responded by scoring three goals in the first period and three more in the second to take a 6-2 lead at halftime.
Sam Santiago ended the Muskies' streak.
Christian Dybedock added an unassisted goal with six minutes left in the third period to cut the score to 6-4 in favor of Muskingum. But another Muskies goal made it 7-4.

Will Sorg kept Wabash within two goals of Muskingum when he scored to open the fourth period. The Muskies tallied the game's final three goals to close out the period for the 10-5 victory.

Wabash put up 33 shots compared to 53 by Muskingum. The Little Giants went scoreless on six extra-man opportunities, while Muskingum was held scoreless on its only man-up chance.

Santiago put eight shots on goal to lead the Wabash offense.
