The Wabash College volleyball returned to action after a nine-day break in its schedule, playing a tough NAIA team from Goshen College. The Little Giants played three close matches but fell in straight sets to the visiting Maple Leafs.

Wabash (9-4) finished with a .218 hitting percentage, while Goshen (5-9) posted a .359 attack percentage. The Maple Leafs led from start to finish in the opening set to record a 25-21 victory. Wabash took an early lead in the second set and played to five ties, but Goshen took a 20-19 lead on the way to a 25-21 win.

The Little Giants forced six tied scores in the third set but were never able to gain a lead as Goshen won the set and the match with a 25-19 victory.

Jackson Leeper dominated the attack for Wabash, putting away ten kills with a .769 attack percentage. Bawbawi Thang added six kills and picked up a team-best six digs.
Will Beikes gave out 29 assists.

Wabash opens Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League play Sunday afternoon at home against Wittenberg University at 2 p.m. at Chadwick Court. The Little Giants will then play Mount St. Joseph University at 6 p.m.
