The Wabash College tennis team split its two Monday matchups to open a week of competition in Orlando, Florida. The Little Giants lost to Carthage 8-1 in the morning session but bounced back for a 9-0 sweep of Wentworth.
 
Wabash (5-4) began its day with a tough defeat against Carthage, with the lone victory coming from Rafael Rin and Tharakesh Ashokar with an 8-5 win at number three doubles.
 
The Little Giants responded by winning all nine matches versus Wentworth in the afternoon contest. Vittorio Bona and Sam Dziadosz scored an 8-4 victory at number one doubles. Blake Discher II and Eric Tien also won 8-4 at number two doubles. Jett Brownlee and Cole Langston combined for an 8-2 victory in the third doubles flight.
 
Discher picked up a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win at number one singles. Bona added a 7-5, 6-3 victory in the second singles flight. Dziadosz scored the win at number three singles, 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.
 
Eric Tien defeated his opponent 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 at number four singles. Brownlee won at number five singles by a score of 6-3, 6-4. Eli Arnold completed the sweep with a 6-1, 7-6 victory at number six singles, outlasting his opponent 7-5 in the seventh game of the second set.
 
The Little Giants are back in action on Wednesday in Orlando with another doubleheader against Wheaton College and Trine University at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
