The Wabash College lacrosse team honored seniors
Brigham McGill,
Samuel Miller, and
Artie Rogers before the Little Giants' final game of the 2024 season. The Little Giants lost the home finale to the College of Wooster 15-6 in North Coast Athletic Conference action at Fischer Field.

Wabash (8-8, 1-7 NCAC) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with goals from
Jake Pippen and
Quinn Fitzgerald in the first two minutes of the contest. Wooster (11-6, 5-3 NCAC) answered with a pair of goals before
Blake Stephens and
Jake Pippen scored in the final three minutes of the first period. The Fighting Scots picked up a man-up goal with one minute remaining in the opening period to trim the Little Giants' advantage to 4-3.

Wooster started the second period with another power-play goal even to score 4-4. The two teams traded goals in the final six minutes of the first half, with
Will Sorg scoring for Wabash with 4:24 remaining in the period. The Scots went on an offensive tear after that, tallying two goals to end the period for a 7-5 halftime lead before outscoring the Little Giants 5-0 in the third period. Wooster added three more goals in the fourth period before Sorg closed out the scoring with his second goal of the game on a man-up opportunity for Wabash.

The Little Giants put up 24 shots in the contest. Wabash goalkeeper
Colin Krekeler faced 58 shots from Wooster and recorded 15 saves. Sorg and Pippen finished with two goals apiece. Stephens and Fitzgerald added the other goals for Wabash. Fitzgerald also finished with two assists, while Sorg, Rogers, and
Christian Dybedock each tallied one assist.

Quinn Shefferly,
Nate Jones,
Bryce Poling,
Lucas Cunningham, and Dybedock each recorded one caused turnover in the contest. Shefferly finished his first year with the Little Giants program with 50 caused turnovers to break the school record of 48 in a single season set by Evan Schiefelbein in 2022. Shefferly also set a new mark for caused turnovers per game with an average of 3.12 a contest to eclipse the former record of 3.07 a game produced by Scott Purucker in 2016.

McGill played in 44 games over four seasons at Wabash. Miller notched 40 appearances for the Little Giants. Rogers leaves the Wabash program as the all-time leader in assists with 87 and assists per game, averaging 1.45 per contest. He is tied for second in career games played with 60 and ends his career in sixth place with 115 total points.

Wabash set a single-season record with eight wins and posted its first .500 season in program history by finishing 8-8 for the year.
