The Wabash College volleyball team opened its final weekend of the 2024 season with a 3-1 win in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League action Friday evening at the University of Olivet.

Wabash (15-10, 3-5 MCVL) captured a third MCVL win for the first time in the history of the Little Giants' Â four-year program, eclipsing the two wins earned in the inaugural 2021 season. Wabash opened with a 25-21 victory in the first set, forcing eight ties and four lead changes before finally taking control at 18-17. The Little Giants outscored Olivet (5-24, 0-8 MCVL) 7-4 over the final 11 points to take the 1-0 lead.

Wabash led from start to finish in the second set for a 25-21 victory. The Comets rallied for a 32-30 win in the third set before the Little Giants closed out the win with a 25-20 victory to claim the 3-1 final.

Ricky Sessions paced the Little Giants with 14 kills.
Patrick Volk scored ten kills and finished with a .471 attack percentage.
Bawibawi Thang added ten kills for Wabash offense.
Julian Alvizo gave out a career-best 38 assists. Sessions added 12 digs to lead the Little Giants and picked up three solo blocks and two block assists to lead the defense.

Wabash wraps up the 2024 season on Saturday with a 2 p.m. league contest at Adrian College.
