HOLLAND, Michigan -- Wabash put up 13 total shots and five shots on goal but ended up on the short end of a 4-1 final on Saturday against the Hope College Flying Dutchmen.
The loss dropped Wabash's record to 5-2-0 overall. Hope improves to 7-1-0 for the season.

How it Happened
Hope took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute on a goal from Jackson Mindling, assisted by Cole Pauly. The Flying Dutchmen made it a 2-0 advantage when Wabash gave up an own goal in the 42nd minute to trail 2-0 at halftime.

Hope went up 3-0 on Seth Walters' 52nd-minute goal, assisted by Matt Wimmer.

The Little Giants got on the scoreboard with a 57th-minute goal from Emilio Paez, his first goal of the season. Hope expanded its lead to make it a 4-1 game on Mindling's second goal of the match in the 78th minute, assisted by Grant Hassenrik.

Wabash goalkeeper Fernando Ramos collected seven saves for the Little Giants out of 23 total Hope shots.

The Little Giants complete their weekend road trip to Michigan on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match at The University of Olivet.
