HOLLAND, Michigan -- Wabash put up 13 total shots and five shots on goal but ended up on the short end of a 4-1 final on Saturday against the Hope College Flying Dutchmen.
The loss dropped Wabash's record to 5-2-0 overall. Hope improves to 7-1-0 for the season.
How it Happened
Hope took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute on a goal from Jackson Mindling, assisted by Cole Pauly. The Flying Dutchmen made it a 2-0 advantage when Wabash gave up an own goal in the 42nd minute to trail 2-0 at halftime.
Hope went up 3-0 on Seth Walters' 52nd-minute goal, assisted by Matt Wimmer.
The Little Giants got on the scoreboard with a 57th-minute goal from
Emilio Paez, his first goal of the season. Hope expanded its lead to make it a 4-1 game on Mindling's second goal of the match in the 78th minute, assisted by Grant Hassenrik.
