Granville, Ohio — The Wabash College soccer team capped its 2025 season with an impressive 1–1 draw on the road against 15th-ranked Denison University in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening at Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium.
The Little Giants (6–11–1, 2–5–1 NCAC) took the early lead in the 16th minute when freshman defender
Colton Hughes-Suiters found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
Alfredo Campos set up the play with a precise assist into the box, and Hughes-Suiters buried the shot for a 1–0 advantage. Wabash carried that lead into halftime after weathering nine first-half shots from the Big Red, ranked 15th in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
Denison (12–1–3, 4–1–2 NCAC) equalized less than three minutes into the second half. Kameron Kist scored his ninth goal of the season in the 48th minute on an unassisted strike to make it 1–1. The Big Red dominated possession at 64 percent and outshot Wabash 20–8 overall, including 11–2 in the second half, but the Little Giants' defense stood firm to earn the result.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Colin Sutter anchored the Wabash back line with a standout performance, making seven saves while facing eight shots on goal. Hughes-Suiters led the Little Giants with two shots on target, while Campos,
Danny Escobedo,
Bryce Kinnaman, and
Myles Bernat each added attempts.
Denison keeper Alex Provost finished with one save. The Big Red held a 4–3 edge in corner kicks.
Wabash finished the season with seven points in the NCAC standings.
