CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana --- Wabash celebrated Senior Day with a doubleheader sweep of rival DePauw University to wrap up the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its schedule. The Little Giants won game one 7-5 before completing the doubleheader victory with an 8-5 victory.

Four Wabash players notched multiple hits to help lead the Little Giants past the Tigers 7-5 Tuesday.

Caleb Everson (6-3) started on the mound and picked up the win for Wabash. The right-hander went six innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on eight hits, allowing four walks and striking out six.

Caleb Ellspermann scored Neukam and Phillips, which brought the Little Giants lead to 3-1.

DePauw narrowed Wabash's lead to 3-2 before the Little Giants stretched the advantage to 5-2 in the fifth inning. The Little Giants pushed two runs across on a two-run double from Henke, bringing McKinzie and Scheidt home.

The Tigers fought back, closing the gap to 5-3 until Wabash added some insurance in the sixth. Phillips crossed home plate with the lone run of the inning for the Little Giants on a sacrifice fly by McKinzie, bringing the score to 6-3 in favor of Wabash.

DePauw got within 6-4 until the Little Giants scored again in the seventh inning to stretch its lead to 7-4. Wabash pushed across a run on
DJ Mendez's two-out RBI double. DePauw put one run on the scoreboard before the game ended, but the Little Giants still held on for the 7-5 win.

Dylan Haslett (2-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Wabash. The
right-hander went 3.1 shutout innings, giving up four hits, one walk, and striking out three.
Connor Lambert also pitched well, going 1.2 shutout innings while allowing one hit, walking none, and striking out two to earn his second save of the season.

Trailing 2-0, the Little Giants first put runs on the board in the third inning. McKinzie came across to score the lone run of the inning for Wabash on a sacrifice fly from Scheidt after lacing a triple to center field.
The Little Giants kept the Tigers off the board before tying it up in the fourth. Wabash scored a run on an RBI triple off the bat of Phillips, scoring Neukam, which brought the score level at 2-2.
