GRANVILLE, Ohio --- Wabash scored a 4-1 victory over Oberlin in Friday's opening match of the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. The fourth-seeded Little Giants advance to face the top-seeded and nationally-ranked Denison University.
 
Wabash (15-8) opened the quarterfinal match against the fifth-seeded Oberlin (7-14) by sweeping the three doubles matches. Augusto Ghidini and Rafael Rin combined to earn a 6-1 win in the first doubles flight. Tharakash Ashokar and Cole Shifferly scored a 6-2 victory in the second doubles flight to secure the first team point for the Little Giants.
 
Shifferly picked up a point with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number one singles. Rin added a 7-5, 7-5 win in the second singles flight. Ghidini locked up the team victory with a 6-1, 6-1 straight sets win at number five singles.
 
The Little Giants will play the host Big Red, the second-ranked team in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III rankings, at 11 am on Saturday at the Denison Tennis Courts.
