CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Four home conference games and the renewal of the rivalry versus Hampden-Sydney highlight the 2026 Wabash College football schedule.
The Little Giants open the season against Hampden-Sydney College on Saturday, Sept. 5, at noon at Little Giant Stadium in Crawfordsville. The game pits two of the remaining all-male colleges in the United States against one another for the fifth time since the Gentlemen's Classic began in 2014. Wabash is undefeated in the four previous meetings, including a 29-28 victory at Hampden-Sydney in 2023.
Wabash opens the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its schedule the following week with a home contest against Wittenberg University on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. The Little Giants return home Sept. 26 to face the College of Wooster at 2 p.m. as part of the College's annual Homecoming Celebration.
The Little Giants welcome Washington University in St. Louis, an affiliated member of the NCAC, for a conference game Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. Wabash closes out its regular-season home schedule against conference foe Kenyon College on Nov. 7 at 1 p.m.
Road conference play begins Sept. 19 at Oberlin College. Wabash plays back-to-back road games at Denison on Oct. 3 and John Carroll on Oct. 17. The Little Giants and Ohio Wesleyan meet for a Halloween showdown in Delaware, Ohio, on Oct. 31.
Wabash wraps up the 2026 regular season against DePauw University in the 132nd Monon Bell Classic. A location for the game has not been announced due to construction of a new facility at DePauw.
"We have a tough schedule for the 2026 season, but we are extremely excited," Wabash College head football coach
Jake Gilbert said. "There will be huge home games, including a renewal of our series with Hampden-Sydney, and a new conference matchup against Washington-St. Louis. In addition, we will host Wittenberg again which I'm sure will be a monster of a game and a huge test for us. We are looking to avenge the losses to John Carroll and DePauw and we'll see them within a few weeks of each other at the end of the season. We can't wait to get back on the field!"
Start times for all games and ticket information for the home portion of the schedule will be announced later this year.
