Henke Earns Third Team All-NCAC Baseball Honors

Wabash College senior infielder Ben Henke earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference baseball honors for the second consecutive season after being selected to the 2026 All-NCAC Third Team at shortstop.

Henke, a senior from Jasper, Indiana, was chosen by the conference coaches after starting all 39 games for the Little Giants and finishing the season with a .322 batting average. He collected 49 hits, 10 doubles, two home runs and 29 RBIs while scoring 31 runs. He finished with a .428 slugging percentage, a .407 on-base percentage and an .835 OPS.

The 2026 honor adds to Henke's decorated Wabash career. He earned First Team All-NCAC honors in 2025 and was named the conference's Gold Glove honoree that season.

Henke also closed his career as one of the top offensive players in Wabash baseball history. He became the fifth Little Giant to surpass 200 career hits, finishing fifth on the program's all-time list with 201 career base hits.

Henke ranked among the Little Giants' team leaders in nearly every major offensive category during his final season. He led Wabash in games played, games started, at-bats and total bases, and he ranked first or near the top of the team with 49 hits, 31 runs, 10 doubles, 29 RBIs, 18 walks and 12 extra-base hits.

He also remained one of the most difficult Wabash hitters to strike out. Henke fanned only five times in 152 at-bats, the fewest strikeouts among Wabash players with at least 75 at-bats.

Henke's production also placed him among the NCAC leaders. He ranked 12th in the conference in at-bats, 13th in sacrifice bunts and 14th in assists. He finished just outside the top 20 in hits, ranking 21st with 49.

Defensively, Henke recorded 50 putouts and 72 assists from the shortstop position while helping turn 14 double plays for the Little Giants. He finished second on the team in assists and double plays turned and ranked among Wabash's top fielders in total chances.
