132nd Monon Bell Classic Moves to Ball State’s Scheumann Stadium

Wabash College will bring its scarlet to Ball State University when the Little Giants face DePauw University in the 132nd Monon Bell Classic on Nov. 14, 2026. The game will be played at Scheumann Stadium on the Ball State campus in Muncie, Indiana.

Wabash and DePauw will meet for the 132nd time in the historic rivalry but will play at a neutral site for the first time since 1922.

The 2026 Monon Bell Classic was originally scheduled to be played at DePauw. The Tigers are in the early stages of constructing a new facility, requiring the game to move to a neutral location for the 2026 season.

Wabash owns a 63-59-9 overall record against DePauw since the teams first met in 1890. The Little Giants hold a 44-43-6 advantage since the 300-pound Monon Bell was donated to the rivalry by the Monon Railroad in 1932.

The teams last played at a neutral site on Nov. 25, 1922, when Wabash earned a 30-0 victory at Irwin Field in Indianapolis. Wabash and DePauw have met at neutral sites seven times, beginning with the 1915 game at Washington Park in Indianapolis. The Circle City hosted games between the Little Giants and Tigers from 1915 through 1917 and again from 1919 through 1922.

Wabash owns a 4-2-1 record in neutral-site games against DePauw.

Ticket information for the 22,500-seat Scheumann Stadium will be announced in late August.
