Wabash Career

2012: Named 1st Team All-Conference and NCAC All-Decade Team (2003-2013)... Played and started all 10 games... Recorded 83 tackles with 10 tackles for loss for a total of 36 yards... Posted 13 tackles in two consecutive games against Allegheny and Carnegie Melon... Forced one fumble... Picked up 2.5 tackles for loss against Hanover.

2011: Named the North Coast Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year, the first Wabash player to earn the award since the Little Giants joined the league in 2000... First Team All-NCAC selection... Third on the team in total tackles with 36... Tied for the team lead in sacks with six for 37 yards... Second in tackles for losses with 14-1/2 for 60 yards... Recorded a season-best eight tackles at Chicago, including 2-1/2 sacks... Made three tackles for losses against North Central in the second round of the playoffs... Also finished with three tackles for losses versus Chicago... Forced a fumble in the Monon Bell Classic versus DePauw.

High School

Earned varsity letters in football and track and field at Brownsburg High School... All-State, All-Conference, team captian and Defensive MVP... Graduated with academic honors... Member of the Bulldog-To-Bulldog Peer Mentoring group.

Personal

Interned with the local Sugar Creek Players theater group, appearing in and serving as stage manager for Cat On A Hot Tin Roof... summer intern with the Indianapolis Film Festival in 2012... Involved in the peer mentoring group at Wabash... Dean’s List Fall 2011... Given name is Akinfemiwa Johnson Akinribade... Born April 14, 1992 in Nigeria and moved to the United States with his parents at the age of four... Son of Ebenezer and Olufunmilayo Akinribade.
