Fitness Instructor Bios
LAURA CONNERS
Laura has been a yoga practitioner since 1994, and teaching fitness classes at Wabash College for the past eight years.
She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Cityoga of Indianapolis, IN and her 500-hour certification through the Mindfulness Yoga & Meditation Program at Spirit Rock Center of California.
Most recently, Laura became certified in teaching Yin Yoga, completing her studies with Michelle Finch.

JOY HARLOS
Joy is a Crawfordsville native and has been a fitness instructor for nearly 35 years, including the past eight years at Wabash College. She is certified in various disciplines including Group Fitness, Spinning, Zumba, Core Fitness and Pound.Â
She is a firm believer in the positive effect exercise has not only on physical wellness but mental health as well. She has taught exercise classes here at Wabash for eight years and greatly appreciates the opportunity to work with the terrific staff, faculty, alumni and students.Â
Joy works full time at the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion and in her spare time loves to hang out with her family including four terrific grandchildren!Â

STACY SOMMER
Stacy has been certified as a group fitness instructor by AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) since 1998 and has been teaching at Wabash College for the past four years.
She has taught at the Crawfordsville Parks & Recreation Department and Nautilus and has also been an instructor at Athena Sports and Fitness since 2000. At Athena, she has taught a wide variety of group fitness including step aerobics, floor aerobics, toning classes, kickboxing, yoga, and spinning classes.
Stacy is a life-long supporter and fan of Wabash College and her alumni family members including her uncle, brother, cousins and son.
