Ron Henricks started as an assistant basketball coach at Wabash in 1998 after a lengthy career as a high school basketball coach. He was the varsity assistant at Greencastle High School from 1995 to 1998 before joining the Wabash program as a volunteer assistant for the 1998-99 season. Prior to that, Henricks served as the head basketball coach at South Vermillion (1972-76), Brownstown Central (1976-80), Southmont (1981-89), and North Montgomery High Schools (1992-93). He guided South Vermillion to the school's only conference championship and led Southmont to a pair of conference and county titles.

An Indiana State University graduate, he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from ISU. Now a retired guidance counselor, Henricks and his wife, Tina, have a daughter (Julie) and two grandsons.
