Olivas joined the Wabash College soccer program as an assistant coach in 2021.
He came to Wabash after serving 14 seasons at La Sierra University in Riverside, California. Olivas joined the Golden Eagles as an assistant coach in 2008. He was named the head men's coach in 2009. In 2016 has was named an assistant coach for the women's program in addition to his duties as the men's head coach.
Olivas led La Sierra to a 12-7 season in 2017, recording the most single-season victories in program history. He worked as an assistant men's and women's soccer coach at the University of the Southwest before taking the position at La Sierra.
Olivas graduated from the University of the Southwest in 2005 where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
