Baker took over the Wabash program on August 1, 2023 after a stint as the head volleyball coach at McCutcheon High School, where he guided the Mavericks' first-year program to 11 wins and a top-20 ranking among Indiana high school teams.
Baker guided the 2025 Little Giants to a 16-10 overall record, setting the high-water mark for wins in a season in the program’s five-year history. Wabash finished in fifth place in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League standings with a 4-4 mark. Sophomore Bawibawi Thang earned Second Team All-MCVL honors, and senior Will Beikes picked up Honorable Mention recognition.
Baker's 2024 Little Giants team finished 15-11 with a 3-6 record in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League matches. Wabash finished in a tie for sixth place in the league standings for its best finish in program history. Freshman Bawibawi Thang received Honorable Mention All-MCVL honors after leading the LIttle Giants in kills (308) and service aces (30).

Baker served as the head coach for the Munciana 15U Volleyball Club for the 2020-21 season. Baker was the 12U assistant coach and 15U head coach for the Boiler Juniors Volleyball for the 2017-18 season.

Baker earned a bachelor of science degree from Ball State University in 2021. He earned a master's degree in sport administration from Ball State in May 2023. Baker will also assist with the 17U boys' academy volleyball club in addition to his duties at Wabash.
