Petar Petrovic joined the Wabash College men’s tennis program as an assistant coach on January 5, 2026.
Petrovic brings a strong blend of high-level playing experience, coaching expertise, and a background in exercise science and physical therapy to the Little Giants. A four-year NCAA Division I men’s tennis student-athlete at Ball State University, he competed throughout his collegiate career while earning five semesters on the Dean’s List and serving as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). During his time at Ball State, Petrovic captured three collegiate tournament titles, including singles and doubles victories at the Ball State Invitational.
A native of Brownsburg, Indiana, Petrovic has been involved in tennis coaching since the age of 17. He currently serves as the head of junior programming at West Indy Racket Club, where he oversees curriculum development, scheduling, and instruction for youth players ranging from beginners to competitive tournament athletes. His coaching background also includes work at Avon Summer Tennis Camp and multiple years of private and camp instruction in Brownsburg, emphasizing technical development, footwork, match strategy, and mental toughness.
Petrovic earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a pre-physical therapy concentration from Ball State University in May 2025, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. He has accumulated more than 100 hours of clinical observation across a variety of healthcare settings and spent two years as a physical therapy aide with ATI Physical Therapy, assisting with therapeutic exercise, patient care, and rehabilitation programming. He has also worked as a home health aide, providing direct patient support and care.
In addition to his tennis and healthcare background, Petrovic is multilingual, speaking Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian, and English, with conversational proficiency in Russian. He has been accepted into Gannon University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
