Courtny Cotten joined the Wabash program in 2019 after spending six seasons coaching track and field and cross country at Southmont High School.
 
In his six seasons he coached 24 Sagamore Conference champions and numerous all-conference picks. He has also helped 15 athletes propel themselves to the IHSAA State or NSR Indoor State championships. Cotten is a USATF Level 2 certified coach. As a representative of the USATF, Cotten manages an independent youth track club during the summer.
 
Cotten assists athletes in developing the necessary qualities to increase performances on and off the track (eg: muscle mass, power, explosiveness, coordination). His work method has enabled him to lead several successful athletes in a multitude of different event disciplines and sports.
 
Courtny received his BFA from the University of Indianapolis in 2010. He was a four-year letterman for the Greyhounds track & field team and an All-GLVC athlete as a hurdler under the tutelage of Scott Fangman. He resides in Crawfordsville with his wife and two daughters.
