Vallejo begins his 11th season as an assistant wrestling coach at Wabash with the 2020-2021 campaign. He has helped Little Giant athletes earn seven national individual national championships and 26 NCAA Division III All-America awards. Forty-two Wabash wrestlers have received Scholar All-America recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association during Vallejo's time with the Wabash program.
Vallejo graduated from Manchester College (now Manchester University) in 2008 where he earned a bachelors of science in marketing and not-for-profit management. He was a three-time national qualifier while competing at Manchester. He earned All-America honors at 125 pounds.He served as president of school's student-athlete advisory committee and received the Outstanding Athletic Performance Award in 2008.
Vallejo works for Protrans International in Indianapolis as an operations manager.
