Bishop joined the Wabash wrestling coaching staff in September 2022 after four seasons as a competitor on the Little Giant team. He earned All-America honors in 2020 at heavyweight. Bishop captured the 2022 NCAA Division III Central Region title at heavyweight and was named that tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. He finished the 2021-2022 season as a national qualifier and a 33-3 overall record. Bishop received the 2022 Max Servies Leadership Award for his contributions to the team in practices and at competitions.
Bishop earned his first trip to the NCAA DIII national tournament in 2020 with a second-place finish at the Central Region Tournament. He received All-America honors after the 2020 national championship event was canceled due to the pandemic and completed the season with a record of 29-4. Bishop completed his Wabash wrestling career with an overall record of 125-21.
Bishop graduated from Wabash in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree as a rhetoric major.
