Wabash watched a seven-run lead disintegrate in the final two innings as Blackburn College rallied for a 12-10 victory over the Little Giants Sunday afternoon.
The Beavers scored five runs in the eighth to trim the Little Giants' lead to 10-8. Blackburn (4-10) tied the game on a single to right by Jon Lowry, then scored the eventual game-winner on a throwing error on a stolen base attempt.
The Wabash offense produced enough output to get a win. The Little Giants finished with 10 runs on 14 hits.
John Holm went 4-for-5 at the plate with a run scored.
Tanner Watson added three hits and three RBI in five trips to the plate.
Montana Timmons was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

John Pennington for the first run of the game.
Trey Fankhauser took a bases-loaded pitch off his ankle to bring the tying run home three batters later. The Little Giants added two more runs on a single by Watson to take a 4-2 lead.

Chris Deig. Hechinger scored onan errant throw on his stolen base attempt.
The Little Giants added their final run in the seventh when Timmons lifted a sacrifice fly to center to score Deig.
Chris Widup worked seven innings as the starter, holding the Beavers to three runs on seven hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Ollie Bauer faced eight batters, giving up five runs on four hits with two walks in 2/3 of an inning.
Jimmy Maxwell retired the final batter of the eighth inning with a strikeout.
Luke Zinsmaster pitched the ninth, surrendering three earned runs and four total on three hits with a walk and strikeout.
Wabash (8-7) will play Manchester College Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. at home. The game is an addition to the original schedule after two of the Little Giants' games in Texas canceled due to rain.
