Tanner Watson reached base on a two-out error by the Grizzlies' shortstop and promptly stole second to put a pair of runners in scoring position for
Tyler Owensby. The junior outfield drilled a double to score Stipler and Watson, tying the game at 4-4.
The Little Giants added a pair of runs in the seventh when
Trey Fankhauser opened the inning with a single. Watson reached base on a sacrifice fielder's choice after Fankhauser outraced the throw to second base. After a sacrifice bunt by Owensby moved the runners 90 feet,
Tyler Hampton gave Wabash its only lead of the game on a ground out that scored Fankhauser. One batter later pinch-hitter
Drew Biddle doubled down the left field line to make the score 6-4 in favor of the Little Giants.
Wabash loaded the bases with one out in the ninth inning but could drive home any insurance runs --- runs the team would need in the bottom half of the inning.

JT Miller, retired the next two batters before facing the Grizzlies' top hitter Scott Windler. Windler launched a homer to left field to even the score at 6-6. Joe Ardizzone followed with a soft liner to left that just escaped the glove of the leaping Stippler at short for the Little Giants.
Drew Kammerer came to the plate an lifted a routine fly ball that found the 18 mile-per-hour steady winds that gusted to 30 throughout the contest, sending the ball just behind the wall in left field for the walk-off, two-run homer.
Hendrickson took the loss to fall to 1-2 for the season. He worked 2-2/3 innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs while striking out one batter. Miller pitched six innings with eight hits and one walk while allowing four earned runs. Miller struck out six. Justin Brown (2-0) picked up the win in relief fro Franklin, pitching the final three innings of the game.
Fankhauser led the Wabash batters with three hits, including an RBI triple to score the first run of the game for the Little Giants in the third to tie the game at 1-1. Owensby and Oliger each finished with two hits, while Biddle,
KJ Zelenika, and Stippler added one hit apiece to the Little Giants' 10-hit effort. Wabash stranded eight runners on base, including three in the final inning. Franklin left seven runners on base.
Wabash (5-5) will play Illinois Wesleyan Thursday at Goodrich Ballpark at 4 p.m. The game is an addition to the schedule after the Little Giants were forced to cancel a pair of Sunday home games due to inclement weather.
