Wabash rallied for a 60-56 North Coast Athletic Conference victory Saturday at Kenyon.

The two teams traded the lead 11 times along with 11 ties before a layup by
Kyle Aiton with 7:27 remaining in the game provided the Little Giants with a lead they would never relinquish.

The Little Giants surrendered a five-point halftime lead when Kenyon three consecutive baskets in the first three minute of the second period. The Lords never led by more than a basket over the final 20 minutes. Kenyon took its final lead of the game on a Jonathan Amador hoop with 7:50 remaining.

Aiton and
Daniel Purvlicis began a 12-4 Wabash run and provided a 57-50 edge on the scoreboard. The key basket came when
Austin Burton hit a three-pointer with 1:24 left to play. Tim Connolly answered with a three to cut the lead to four points before Aiton got free for a layup and a 59-53 advantage. Connolly hit one more three with 15 seconds left to make it a one possession game, but Aiton hit one of two free throws in the closing second to provide the margin of victory.

Wabash shot 40.9 percent from the field (21-51), but hit only 4-of-15 three-point tries (26.7 percent. The Little Giants held Kenyon (5-10, 3-5 NCAC) to 4-of-16 shooting from long range and outrebounded the Lords 42-34.

Purvlicis led Wabash with 17 points, while Aiton added 15.
Daniel Scofield picked up his third double-double of the season with a game-high 13 rebounds to go with 10 points. Alexander Powell led Kenyon with 15 points. He scored 11 in the first half but was held to one basket on three shots over the final 20 minutes. Connolly added 13 points.

Wabash (11-4, 6-2 NCAC) maintained a one-game lead over Allegheny for third place in the NCAC standings. The Little Giants travel to Greencastle Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff against arch-rival DePauw University.
