Wabash and Wooster combined for six home runs in two games Saturday at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. The Little Giants lost game one 12-9 before rallying in game two for an 11-10 win.

Wabash trailed Wooster 10-9 entering the ninth inning of the second game before
Andrew Rodgers launched a leadoff home run over the left field fence off the Scots' stopper, Michael Whitaker, who entered the game with a 3-0 record and six saves. Freshman
Cole Harlacher provided the game-winning run with two outs in the inning. He slammed a double to right center, then scored on an RBI double by
Lucas Stippler.

Austin Hawn recorded his second win of the season with two flawless innings of relief, retiring all six batters he faced.

The Little Giants picked up a run the third off an RBI single by
Tanner Watson to score Harlacher after he started the inning with a double to left center. The biggest came in the fifth when Wabash plated six runs to take a 7-3 lead over the Scots. Harlacher picked up his third hit with a leadoff single, then moved to second on a walk to
Taylor Canter. A single by Stippler loaded the bases, and Watson delivered the first run of the inning with a walk.
David Oliger followed with an RBI single to left, followed by a two-run single by
Clint Scarborough.
Tyler Owensby drove home the final runs of the inning with a two-run double to score Oliger and Scarborough.

Wooster (19-4), ranked 17
th in the latest D3baseball.com top-25 poll, scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Wabash responded with another RBI single by Oliger in the sixth, then added one more run in the inning when Watson raced home on a throwing error by the Scots' catcher. Wooster regained the lead with a three-run effort in the bottom of the sixth to take the 10-9 lead.

A late rally came up just short for Wabash in game one. The Little Giants took a 5-0 lead in the fourth, thanks in part to a three-run homer by
Tyler Hampton after a sacrifice fly by Rodgers and an RBI single from Harlacher. The Scots scored four in the fifth, five in the sixth, one in the seventh, and two in the eighth after Hampton and
Justin Green produced RBIs in the top of the eighth.

Watson led off the ninth inning with walk, then moved to second on a walk to Scarborough. Owensby loaded the bases prior to a Rodgers sacrifice fly to cut the Wooster lead to 12-8. Harlacher drove home the final run for the Little Giants with a two-out single to center, but a ground out ended the threat and the game.

Harlacher finished the day with five hits in nine at bats with two doubles and two RBI. Oliger, Stippler, and Owensby each had four hits in two games.

Wabash (11-14) and Wooster close out the three-game weekend series Sunday with a 12 p.m. nine-inning contest in Chillicothe.
