A 16-point first half ended in a 20-6 victory for the Wabash lacrosse team over Oglethorpe University Thursday afternoon in rainy Dallas, Texas.

Wabash opened the scoring with goals from
Billy Bernhardt and
Steven Stark before the Stormy Petrels (0-8) scored to make it a 2-1 game. The Little Giants responded by scoring the next seven goals with three tallies from Stark in addition to a pair of goals from
Collin Brennan along with single goals by
Zach Scarano,
Tucker Dixon, and
Spencer Sikes.

The Little Giants fired another seven-goal onslaught after Oglethorpe scored its second goal, giving Wabash the 16-2 lead at the break. The two teams traded goals over the final 30 minutes to provide the final 14-goal differential.

Brennan led Wabash with four goals in the game. Stark and Dixon each scored three goals.
Colin Corcoran added a pair of goals, as did Sikes and Bernhardt. Scarano,
John Rodgers,
Austin Crosley, and
Gage Brock tallied one goal apiece.

Samuel Stewart recorded five saves while earning his second win of the season. Wabash outshot Oglethorpe 62-21 and won 22-of-30 faceoffs. The Little Giants were called for four penalties for four minutes of time. The Stormy Petrels committed seven penalties for five minutes.

The Little Giants (2-2) return to Mud Hollow Stadium Saturday for a 1 p.m. home contest against Defiance College before facing Southwestern University at home Tuesday at 4 p.m.
