th hit of the season Saturday. Unfortunately the hit came in a doubleheader sweep by Wooster in North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Crossover Series.

The Scots overcame a 10-strikeout effort by Wabash starter
Jensen Kirch in game one, scratching out a 3-0 victory in the opening game. The Little Giants took an early lead in game two thanks to a grand slam by
Andrew Roginski. Wooster (29-10, 16-2) responded with 21 runs over the next five innings on the way to a 23-9.

Oliger collected one hit in game one before going 3-for-4 in game two. He tied the record of 64 hits in a season set by Chris Deig in 2011 with a single to right center in the seventh inning before lifting a home run over the right field fence in the eighth to set a new mark of 65. His four-hit day also moved the senior first baseman to third on the career hits list with 191. He trails Jake Thomas in second (193) and Deig as the all-time leader with 206.

The Little Giants took an early lead in game two thanks to a grand slam by
Andrew Roginski.
Taylor Canter added a two-run homer --- the first home run of his collegiate career -- Â in the loss.

Kirch pitched a seven-hit complete game in the opener. He held the Scots scoreless until the fourth inning when the home team picked up three consecutive singles to take a 1-0 lead after the Little Giants were unable to score with runners at first and third with one out. Wooster added two unearned runs in the seventh after a Wabash error.

Wabash (17-22, 7-11) concludes the season Sunday with a single nine-inning game versus Wooster. First pitch is set for noon.
