Wabash completed the dual-meet portion of its 2016-17 schedule Friday evening with a 153-83 loss at Division I IUPUI.
Joey Karczewski posted a first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a season-best time of 1:58.29. His mark is the fastest by a Wabash swimmer this season in that event.
Dakota Rhodes finished fourth by touching the wall in 2:03.39
Hunter Jones added an individual victory in the 200-yard breaststroke by finishing in 2:07.99.
Sam Colaiacova scored second-place points with a time of 2:23.71.
Michael Reising took third by finishing in 2:30.48.
Benny Liang placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with his season-quick time of 51.94.
Kyle Louks finished fourth with a time of 52.78. Louks posted a time of 1:44.43 to place second in the 200 freestyle for the Little Giants. Liang scored a third-place finish in the 50 free with an effort of 22.04.
Jacob Riley finished in 22.16 to place fourth overall.
Chris Dabrowski turned in a pair of third-place efforts in the distance events. He completed the 1000 free in 10:02.25 before turning in a time of 5:04.63 in the 500 free. Rhodes added a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke at 55.29. Divers
Aaron Embree and
Max Von Deylen finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the one-meter competition. Embree scored 277.65 points with Von Deylen tallying 265.13 points on the low board.
Wabash scored top points in the 200-yard free relay with a combined effort og 1:28.41. The Little Giants finished third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:36.64.
The Little Giants will spend the upcoming weeks preparing for the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet takes place February 8-11 at Denison University in Granville, OH. Tickets for the championships can be purchased in advance
