Wabash finished its weekend series at Transylvania University with a bang, pounding out 20 hits in a 23-2 win Sunday afternoon.

The Little Giants finished the series with the win after dropping a pair of high-scoring contests Saturday to the Pioneers (2-1). Wabash finished the weekend with 49 hits over the three-game series.

Wabash (1-2) jumped out to a 6-0 lead, then added a five-spot in the third. Another run came home in the fourth off an RBI single by
Cole Harlacher.
Andrew Roginski drove home a run in the eighth, followed by a
Taylor Canter single to extend the lead to 14-1.

The Little Giants weren't done scoring yet. Wabash added nine more runs in the ninth inning to complete the blowout victory.

Jared Wolfe collected five hits --- including a double and a triple --- and three RBI. Canter picked up three hits and drove home three runs. Harlacher also recorded three RBI on a pair of hits. Roginski and
Eric Chavez also finished with three hits apiece.

While his teammates were rolling up the numbers on offense, senior pitcher
Michael Herrmann had things well in hand on the mound to help
Jake Martin earn his first win at Wabash as head coach. Herrmann (1-0) pitched six innings, scattering three hits while allowing one unearned run. He struck out ten batters and gave up one walk.
Luke Dant allowed one hit in one inning of work in relief.
Ryan Thomas surrendered one run and one walk with one hit.
Zach Moffett closed out the game with a pair of strikeouts in one inning of work.

Wabash heads to Tucson, Arizona for a seven-game series over the spring break, beginning with a with games against Aurora University and Bethany Lutheran College beginning March 5.
