Wabash outscored Hiram 3-0 in the third period to eventually earn a 12-8 home victory in North Coast Athletic Conference action to celebrate Senior Day for the lacrosse team.

The Little Giants honored lone senior
Holten Warriner prior to the start of Saturday's contest. Wabash took little time to take a lead once the game began, tallying goals from
Andrew Weiland and
Collin Brennan in the first two minutes to take a 2-0 lead.

Hiram (2-7, 0-5 NCAC) came back with three consecutive goals to take a 3-2 lead before Brennan notched the final goal of the first period to tie the score at 3-3. Brennan scored twice in the second period as part of a five-goal game. His final goal of the period came with 25 seconds remaining in the half to provide a 6-5 lead for the Little Giants at halftime.

Dajon Thomas, Weiland, and Brennan scored in the third for the Little Giants while freshman
Max Atkins saved all four shots on goal by the Terriers. Atkins faced 37 total shots and 24 shots on goal, finishing with 16 saves.

Wabash took a 9-5 lead into the fourth period only to see Hiram narrow the score to 9-6 with a goal in the first three minutes of the final period.
Tucker Dixon restored the four-goal lead by scoring his first goal of the afternoon off a pass from
Steven Stark. Dixon added a second goal seconds later, collecting the ground ball off the face off in front of the Hiram net and blasting a shot home for an 11-6 lead. The Terriers narrowed the lead with a goal in the final two minutes of the period, but
Edward Henderson responded with his first career goal for the Little Giants with 1:21 remaining the game to lock up the victory.

Brennan scored five goals for Wabash. Stark ended the day with a goal and two assists. Weiland and Dixon scored two goals apiece, while Thomas and Henderson each finished with one goal. The Little Giants committed 13 penalties that lead to a pair of Hiram goals. Wabash was 0-for-7 in extra-man opportunities. Wabash outshot Hira 40-37. The Little Giants collected 39 ground balls and were 18-of-22 in clearing chances.

Wabash (5-7, 1-3) travels to Ohio Wesleyan University for an NCAC contest on Wednesday before returning home to face Oberlin next Saturday at 1 p.m.
