Wabash made the short trip to Indianapolis Saturday afternoon to compete against NCAA Division I program IUPUI. The Little Giants turned in three first-place finishes in a 194-100 loss to the Jaguars.
Ben Klimczak scored an individual victory in the 100 backstroke, placing first with a time of 52.81.
Jan Dziadek finished second at 52.95. Klimczak added another victory in 200-yard backstroke, touching first in 1:54.32. The Little Giant foursome of
Benny Liang, Dziadek,
Chaz Rhodes, and
Wesley Slaughter earned first-place points for Wabash in the final relay of the meet, the 200 freestyle relay, with a time of 1:26.93.
Rhodes,
Hunter Jones, Dziadek, and Slaughter scored a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay to open the meet, finishing in 1:35.23.
Jones added a second-place finish in 100 breaststroke, touching the wall in 58.94 with Liang right behind in third place at 1:00.95. Jones took second once again in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.26.
Slaughter scored a pair of seconds in individual competition. He took second in the 50 free (21.63), then completed the 100 free in 47.66 to take second overall.
Kyle Louks placed second in the 100 butterfly for the Little Giants by finishing in 52.35.
Chris Dabrowski finished second in the 500 freestyle at 4:49.03. He added a third-place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 9:58.12.
Wabash will face Washington University - St. Louis in the final dual meet of the season Saturday, January 27 at 3 p.m. at the Class of 1950 Natatorium.
