Wabash outscored Oberlin 32-0 Saturday to provide the Little Giant fans enjoying Family Day with a 32-7 football victory at Hollett Little Giant Stadium.

Wabash (6-1, 5-1 NCAC) picked up 508 yards of offense in the win while allowing the visiting Yeomen (1-6, 1-5 NCAC) 299 yards overall.

Oberlin took the early lead with a 14-play, 65-yard drive that ended with a four-yard touchdown pass from Zach Taylor to Brandon Davies. Davies produced a career-day for the Yeomen, catching 12 passes for 97 yards and the one score.

Wabash took over the second quarter, scoring 15 points to take the lead at halftime.
Ryan Thomas caught a 33-yard touchdown throw from quarterback
Jake Reid to cut the Oberlin lead to 7-6 after the missed extra point. Thomas enjoyed his best game of the season, with the senior making eight receptions for a career-high 165 yards. He grabbed a 29-yard touchdown pass from Reid in the third quarter that provided a 25-7 lead for Wabash. Reid finished the game completing 14-of-25 passes for 245 yards and two TDs.

Isaac Avant added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Little Giants in the victory. The junior scored on a one-yard run late in the second quarter to provide a 15-7 halftime lead, then broke a 20-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter for the final margin of victory. Avant ran for a career-high 215 yards while also setting a new personal best with 37 carries.
Schuyler Nehrig added field goals of 27 and 28 yards to complete the scoring for the Little Giants.

Sophomore linebacker
Jackson Garrett paced the Wabash defense with a career-best 11 tackles, including two of the Little Giants' three sacks in the game. Garrett also picked up his first career interception with a 36-yard return that set up Nehrig's second field goal.
Brock Heffron recorded ten tackles for the second consecutive week. The Little Giants scored both field goals after Oberlin turnovers.
Brandon Peck recovered an Oberlin fumble for the Yeomen's other turnover in the game.

Wabash remains ties with Denison for second place in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings with identical 5-1 league records. The Little Giants travel to Wittenberg University next Saturday to face the conference leaders and pre-season pick to win the NCAC title in a 1 p.m. contest in Springfield, Ohio.
