Wabash lacrosse enjoyed a record-breaking day in its 19-6 home rout of Wilmington College Sunday afternoon.

Steven Stark broke the school record for point in a game with 10. He scored six goals and handed out four assists in the victory for the Little Giants (1-1).
Collin Brennan finished one point behind Stark with nine thanks to a five-goal, four-assist afternoon.

The game was close in the early going. Wabash scored just over two minutes in to the contest on an unassisted goal from Brennan. The Quakers (0-1) answered 40 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1. The Little Giants scored the next three goals on shots by
Tucker Dixon, Brennan, and
Jake Taylor to move in front 4-1. Wilmington scored before the quarter break to cut the lead to 4-2.

The teams traded goals twice in the second quarter to make the score 6-4. The Little Giants finished the half with three more goals for a 9-4 advantage at the break.

Wilmington took advantage of the Wabash penalty to score a man-up goal in the first 34 seconds of the third period, then added another goal a minute later to close the score to 9-6.

Wabash took control for the remainder of the game, scoring 10 unanswered goals while shutting out the Quakers over the final 28 minutes of playing time.

Dajon Thomas scored four goals and two assists for Wabash. Dixon finished with three goals and two assists.
Jake Taylor added a goal and two assists.

Max Atkins and
Blake Markett combined to make eight saves in the game at goalkeeper.
Aaron Elsing led the Little Giants with four caused turnovers.

The Little Giants were nearly perfect on clearing attempts, finishing 22-of-23 overall. Wilmington won the restart battle, taking 18-of-27 faceoffs. Wabash collected 42 ground balls, led by Stark with five.

The Little Giants return to action over their spring break trip with road matches at Piedmont College and William Peace University.
