Wabash played back and forth with Calvin College in its road lacrosse game Saturday afternoon before a four-goal fourth period provided the host Knights the 10-7 victory.

The Little Giants (2-7) trailed 3-0 in the early going after Calvin (3-7) notched goals in the first 11 minutes of action.
Jake Taylor scored the first of his two goals for Wabash in the waning minutes of the period for a 3-1 deficit.

Wabash took a 4-3 lead into halftime thanks to two goals by
Steven Stark and one from
Tucker Dixon. The Little Giant defense held Calvin to two nine shots in the second period and only two shots on goal.

The Little Giants expanded their lead to 5-3 with Taylor's sixth goal of the season. Wabash maintained the two-goal advantage late in the third when Stark answered a Calvin goal with his 14
th score of the season to provide a 6-4 lead for Wabash. The Knights closed out the third with two more goals to tie the score at 6-6.

The fourth period proved to be the Wabash team's undoing. Calvin outshot Wabash 14-3 in the final 15 minutes of play and scored four times on five shots on goal.
Dajon Thomas scored the lone goal for the Little Giants in the period, cutting the lead to 8-7 with 10:51 remaining to play before Calvin tallied its final two goals.

Stark led Wabash with three goals, followed by two from Taylor. Stark, Taylor, Dixon, Thomas, and
Zach Hogan each finished with an assist.
Ben Geier created a team-high three turnovers.

Max Atkins recorded 13 saves in goal for the Little Giants and led the squad with three ground balls.

Calvin outshot Wabash 50-20 for the game and held a 23-14 advantage in shot on goal. The Knights won 13 of the 20 faceoffs in the game. Neither team scored in extra-man opportunities. The Little Giants went 0-for-2 while Calvin finished 0-3.

Wabash returns to the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its schedule Tuesday at 6 p.m. at home against DePauw University.
