The Wabash tennis team scored wins in all nine matches Saturday to defeat Wittenberg 9-0 at home in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division action.
The Little Giants (11-10, 1-2 NCAC) played their second consecutive home match in as many days after losing to Denison 7-2 Friday evening. Saturday Wabash raced out to a 3-0 lead after doubles action.
William Reifeis and
Patrick McAuley extended their number one doubles record to 21-0 for the season with an 8-4 win.
Jordan Greenwell joined
Andrew Denning for an 8-2 victory at number two double.
Nicholas Pollock and
Kirill Ivashchenko scored an 8-1 win at number three doubles.
Reifies needed three sets at number one single for a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 victory. McAuley cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at number two singles. Greenwell added a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the third singles flight. Ivashchenko won every game in his number four singles match, claiming a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Pollock won 6-1, 6-2 at number five singles.
George Go III completed the shutout with a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
The Little Giants complete their three-game conference weekend series Sunday morning with an 11 a.m. match against Ohio Wesleyan University at the Collett Tennis Center.
