Box Score Wabash scored three runs in the fifth and sixth innings before tacking on five more in the eighth to cruise to a 12-1 victory Saturday against Kenyon College in North Coast Athletic Conference baseball action.

The Little Giants (15-5, 2-1 NCAC) pounded out 14 hits over the nine-inning affair, while starter
Bryan Roberts limited the Lords (7-10, 1-2 NCAC) to five hits in 7-2/3 innings to improve to 6-0 for the year. He struck out seven and walked three batters.
Kevin O'Donnell needed just four pitches to record an out to finish the eighth inning in relief with a strikeout.
Sean Smith closed out the ninth inning with one strikeout to close out the win. The three pitchers combined for nine strikeouts overall.

Bryce Aldridge led Wabash with three hits and five RBI. He drove in two runs in the fifth inning with a triple to right field, then smashed a bases-loaded double to right center in the sixth to drive in another three runs.
Jackson Blevins added three hits and an RBI. He and
Sean Roginski each scored three runs. Roginski extended his streak of consecutive games reaching base to 18 games.

The Little Giants took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when
Tyler Downing scored on a ground out by Blevins. After a Roginski walk and a Blevins double in the fifth, Aldridge drove in his first two runs with the triple.
Andrew Jumonville brought Aldridge home with a single to center to push the lead to 4-0.

The three-run double by Aldridge in the sixth expanded the lead to 7-0. Wabash plated five more runs in the eighth off RBI from
Eric Chavez,
Matthew Annee,
Henry Wannemuehler, and a two-run double by
Jared Wolfe. Kenyon touched Roberts for a run in the bottom of the eighth inning before O'Donnell closed the door.

The two teams meet Sunday at 1 p.m. to complete the two-game series after weather forced the originally-scheduled doubleheader on Saturday to be spread over two days.
