Wabash earned one of four berths as a participant in the 2018 North Coast Athletic Conference with a 10-8 record in conference play. The Little Giants will be the third seed and will open play in the first round Thursday night, May 10 at 8:30 p.m. at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio, against second-seeded Denison University.

The Little Giants will compete in the NCAC Tournament for the first time since winning the conference title in 2011.

Wabash (25-15) lost both games of its doubleheader Saturday against Denison by scores of 4-2 and 16-1. The Little Giants completed the regular season Sunday with two home games against Rose-Hulman, losing both games 6-5 and 7-1 as part of the team's Senior Day celebration.

Bryan Roberts took the field at Goodrich Ballpark one final time in front of family and fans prior to the first pitch of game on between Wabash and Rose-Hulman. Cooper started the game for the Little Giants, pitching 5-1/3 innings of six-hit baseball. He gave up one earned and three unearned runs, striking out four batters with two walks.

Wabash answered a first-inning run by the Fightin' Engineers (19-21) with two runs in the bottom of the second on an RBI single from
Joe House and a sacrifice fly off the bat of
Henry Wannemuehler to put Wabash in front 2-1.

Rose answered with two runs in the fourth and a single run in the sixth to move in front 4-2.
Eric Chavez drove in a run in the eighth to close the gap to 4-3, but the visitors tacked on two runs in top of the ninth to stretch the lead to 6-3.

Jared Wolfe picked up a one-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning, then raced to second base on a passed ball.
Sean Roginski lifted a single through the left side of the infield to put runners on the corner with one out.

Aldridge came through with an RBI single to center to trim the Rose-Hulman lead to 6-4. An
Andrew Jumonville sacrifice fly brought Roginski home to make the deficit one run. A strikeout ended the Wabash threat and the game.

Aldridge and Downing paced the offense with two hits apiece. Wabash finished the game with ten total hits.

The Little Giants never got untracked offensively in the second game. Aldridge collected the only hit of the game. Rose picked up a run in the top of the first with Wabash responding with a run in the bottom of the first. Wolfe reach base after being hit on the elbow by pitch. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, then stole third and came home on an errant throw to tie the game at one. Aldridge followed with a double, leaving Wabash hitless over the final six innings of the game.

Kevin O'Donnell took the loss in relief, working 2/3 of an inning and allowing three hits and a walk to lead to four runs scoring for Rose.

The loss extended the Little Giants' losing streak to six games, its longest of the season.
