Wabash played to a scoreless draw at DePauw Wednesday night in North Coast Athletic Conference soccer. The 0-0 double-overtime tie provided a point for the Little Giants in the conference standings and secured a berth in next week's NCAC Tournament.

The draw ended a streak of three consecutive wins by the Little Giants over DePauw. The two teams have tied four times in the 56-game series with the last draw occurring in 2014 by a score of 1-1.

Wabash (10-4-3, 5-1-2 NCAC) has scored a total of 17 points and is in third place in the league standings with one regular season game remaining on the schedule. The Little Giants trail Ohio Wesleyan in second place with 19 points and conference leader Kenyon with 20 points. DePauw (10-6-1, 4-3-1 NCAC) also picked up a point to capture sole possession of fourth place with a total of 13 points. Oberlin is in fifth place with 12 points.

The Little Giants played even with DePauw in the first half and survived an offensive attack by the host Tigers in the opening 20 minutes of the second period. DePauw took eight of its nine corner kicks in the first 20 of the second period to go with three free kicks in the Little Giants' defensive end of the field. Despite the aggressive offensive effort, the host Tigers were held to one shot attempt that was blocked by the Wabash defense during that time.

The Little Giants produced their own offensive surge late in the second period.
Coledon Johnson put a header on net that was saved by DePauw goalkeeper Dylan Ruzbasan in the 87
th minute.
Mitchell Keeling blasted another attempt from the top of the box that just missed the upper-right corner of the goal in the closing minute of regulation.

Wabash was unable to generate a shot on goal in either of the two overtime periods. The Tigers fired two shots on goal in the final 10-minute period that ended with saves by
Chad Wunderlich for the Little Giants. Wunderlich finished the match with four saves overall.

DePauw outshot Wabash 12-7 but the Little Giants only trailed the Tigers by one shot on goal, 4-3.

The Little Giants travel to Oberlin Saturday to conclude the regular season with a 1 p.m. contest against the Yeomen. Wabash can still earn a home game to open the conference tournament next Wednesday with a victory at Oberlin combined with losses by either Ohio Wesleyan or Kenyon on Saturday.
