Wabash mounted a rally in singles play in its home tennis match versus Wisconsin-Whitewater but came up just short in a 6-3 loss Sunday afternoon.

Patrick McAuley lost his first set at number one singles 6-3 before scoring a 7-6 (7-5) win in the second set to force a tiebreaker. Trailing 5-4 in the third set, McAuley rolled off three consecutive wins to close out with a 7-5 win to take the match two sets to one.

Jordan Greenwell needed the tiebreaker at number one doubles before posting an 8-7 (7-5) win.
Andrew Denning and
Duncan Roy also played a tiebreaker game in their number two doubles match to earn an 8-7 (7-5) victory.

Wabash (7-6) returns to action Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. match against the College of Wooster at the Collett Tennis Center.
