Spring weather sent the Wabash tennis team outdoors for the first time at home this season in a match against Rose-Hulman Wednesday afternoon. The Little Giants trailed 2-1 after doubles action before finishing with an 8-1 loss to the visiting Fightin' Engineers.
Patrick McAuley and
Andrew Denning partnered for the first time this season to earn an 8-6 victory at number one doubles.
Duncan Roy and
Evan Frank battled at number three singles but fell on the short end of the 8-6 final. Roy forced three sets in his number three singles match. He won the first set 6-3 before dropping the final two sets 2-6, 6-10.
Wabash (8-10) travels to Granville, Ohio Friday for a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match versus Denison University set to begin at 5 p.m. The Little Giants will play at Wittenberg University Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
