McAuley scored the lone victory for Wabash (8-13, 0-4 NCAC West) at number one singles. The senior won his opening set 6-1 against Greg Frauenheim before an injury in the second set forced Frauenheim to retire. The victory moved McAuley into 11
th place on the Wabash all-time singles victory list with 52. His 64.6 percent winning percentage in singles action ranks ninth all time.

Andrew Denning battled the DePauw (9-9, 3-1 NCAC West) team of Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan in the number one doubles match. The Wabash duo held an early lead before DePauw tied the score at 7-7 to force a tiebreaker. Frauenheim and McClanahan defeated McAuley and Denning 8-6 in the extra game to win 8-7 overall.

Wabash will await the outcome of Saturday's match between Oberlin and Allegheny to learn if the Little Giants will earn one of eight berths in next week's NCAC Tennis Tournament. The tournament takes place April 26-28 at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
