Max Atkins made 18 saves while facing 36 shots on goal and 64 total shot attempts by visiting Kenyon College in an 18-2 home lacrosse loss by the Little Giants Saturday afternoon at Fischer Field.

Wabash (5-10, 1-5 NCAC) trailed 7-0 when
AJ Shaheen tallied his 11
th goal of the season midway through the second period off a pass from
Steven Stark.
Joseph Plencner added his 20
th goal of the year near the close of the third period with
Chase Cochran on the assist to account for the scoring for the Little Giants.

Wabash finished with 14 total shots in the game and eight shots on goal. The Little Giants caused 16 Kenyon (10-5, 5-2 NCAC) turnovers with Cochran leading the Little Giants with six caused turnovers. Atkins led Wabash in ground balls for the game with a season-high 13 as the Little Giants scooped up 43 ground balls as a team.

The Little Giants went 1-of-9 on extra-man opportunities in the game on ten Kenyon penalties. The Lords finished 2-of-3 on man-up chances on three Wabash penalties.

Wabash concludes the 2019 lacrosse season with a pair of games in the coming week. The Little Giants travel to DePauw University on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest prior to the season finale Saturday, April 27, at home against Oberlin College at 1 p.m. Wabash will honor the senior members of this year's team prior to the start of Saturday's contest.
