Wabash matched Wittenberg goal for goal in the second half of Tuesday's contest between the two North Coast Athletic Conference opponents. The four-goal effort by the Little Giants in the final 30 minutes was not enough to overcome a nine-goal first period by the visiting Tigers, ending in a 14-4 home loss.

Wabash (5-7, 1-2 NCAC) tallied its first goal of the game with 1:23 left to play in the third period.
Drayden Hansen fired a shot into the net to start a four-goal swing by the Little Giants.
Collin Brennan scored back-to-back goals to start the fourth period before
Steven Stark completed the scoring for Wabash with a goal with 9:09 remaining in the game to cut the Wittenberg (3-7, 1-2 NCAC) to 11-4. The visiting Tigers closed out the game with three goals to claim the ten-goal victory.

Wittenberg took early control of the game, scoring four goals in the first four minutes of play. The Tigers scored nine goals in the opening period. Wabash held Wittenberg to one goal in the second and third periods. The Little Giants killed off two extra-man opportunities for the Tigers, holding opposing teams to 9-of-49 on man-up chances this season. Wabash entered the game ranked 31
st in Division III in man-down defense at 80.9 percent.

The Little Giants caused eight turnovers, led by
Zach LaRue with two. LaRue, Brennan, and
Max Atkins each scooped up five ground balls apiece. Atkins faced a total of 52 shots and 27 shots on goal, making 13 saves.
