Harrison Hallstrom recorded his 16th career double-double and became the 28th Wabash basketball player to score more than 1,000 career points to help the Little Giants to an 80-68 road victory at Hiram College on Sunday.

Hallstrom finished the game with 10 points and 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. He has scored 1,007 career points in 90 games and joins teammate
Jack Davidson, who is currently 13th in career scoring for Wabash (7-5, 3-2 NCAC) with a total of 1,361 points. Davidson scored a team-best 17 points in Sunday's victory.

Connor Rotterman picked up his first double-double of the season by scoring 16 points and handing out 10 assists. The Little Giants recorded 22 assists in the game for their second-highest total in a game this season.
Tyler Watson added 14 points as the fourth Wabash player to score in double figures.

The Little Giants jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game and never trailed throughout. Hallstrom and Davidson scored early baskets followed by a three-point basket from
Parker Manges. Hiram (4-8, 1-4 NCAC) trimmed the Little Giants' advantage to two points five minutes into the game. Wabash answered with a 13-2 run over the next five minutes to extend its lead to 13 points at 23-10. The Terriers made one more late run in the first half and eventually tied the score at 33-33 with a minute remaining. Watson scored the final basket of the period on a three-point attempt to provide a 38-35 Wabash lead at the break.

The Little Giants started the second in similar fashion as the first with baskets from Watson and Rotterman to push the lead back up to seven points. Wabash maintained a double-digit lead throughout the majority of the second half to snap its two-game losing streak while earning its third North Coast Athletic Conference victory of the season.

Wabash shot 53.1 percent from the field by hitting 34-of-64 attempts including 9-of-23 from three-point range (39.1 percent). The Little Giants held Hiram to 39.7 percent shooting in the game (25-of-63) and outrebounded the Terriers 40-34. Wabash dominated the paint, scoring 48 of its 80 points near the basket.

Sherman Dean III and Sherman Cox both scored 12 points to lead Hiram in scoring. Brodgie Gordan added 10 points for the Terriers.

Wabash plays its first home game of the 2020 portion of the season and first since December 4 when the Little Giants play Oberlin College on Saturday, January 11 at 2 p.m. at Chadwick Court.
