Junior basketball guard
Jack Davidson has been named the Wabash College Scholar-Athlete of the Week presented by Hoosier Heartland State Bank.
Davidson, an economics major, averaged 28.5 points in two games over the weekend while becoming the eighth player in Wabash basketball history to eclipse the 1,500 career-point mark. He scored a game-high 30 points on Friday night in the Little Giants 83-71 victory over Allegheny. Davidson also recorded a season-high nine rebounds and handed out four assists in that contest. He scored 27 points less than 24 hours later against Hiram College with an 8-of-12 shooting performance from the field (66.7 percent). He finished with six assists in the 87-78 Saturday victory over the Terriers for Wabash. Davidson moved into seventh place on the Wabash all-time scoring list with 1,512 career points in 72 games.
