Jack Davidson became the eighth Wabash basketball player to eclipse the 1,500-point mark in career scoring and moved into seventh place on the Little Giants' all-time scoring list in an 83-71 home victory over Allegheny Friday evening.

Davidson scored 30-points to move past Joe DesJean and into seventh place in all-time scoring for Wabash (13-7, 9-4 NCAC) with 1,512 points. He was one of four Little Giants to score in double figures against Allegheny (11-9, 5-8 NCAC).
Harrison Hallstrom picked up his 19
th career double-double and sixth this season with an 18-point, 16-rebound effort for Wabash. Davidson nearly joined Hallstrom with nine rebounds. He also handed out four assists.
Kellen Schreiber added 13 points and
Tyler Watson score 12 points in the winning effort.

Wabash pounded the ball inside all game long. The Little Giants scored 54 of their 83 points in the paint with 13 points coming on fast-break opportunities. Wabash also owned a 41-33 rebounding advantage and committed only eight turnovers in the contest.

The game went back and forth throughout the evening. Allegheny rode a 7-0 scoring run over the span of three minutes in the second half to move in front by a score of 54-49. Hallstrom ended the scoring drought for Wabash with a layup off a pass from Davidson. One minute later Hallstrom connected on a pair of free throws to bring the Little Giants to within a point of the Gators at 54-53. Roberts extended the lead to two points by making one of his two free-throw attempts with 12:23 to play. Davidson added a pair of free throws a minute later to even the score for the 13
th time overall at 55-55 with 11:37 remaining.

Roberts put Allegheny back in front with a three-point shot before
Alex Eberhard answered with a layup at the other end of the floor. The Gators pushed the lead to four points at 61-57 with a Brock Brumfield three-pointer. Hallstrom added another basket to bring Wabash back to within a single possession. Schreiber evened the score at 61-61 with a pair of free throws at 7:58 on the second-half clock.

Brumfield gave the Gators the lead one more time with a three-point play on a basket and free throw 20 seconds later. Wabash responded with a 9-1 scoring run sparked by a Schreiber fast break three-point play with a layup and free throw to five the Little Giants a 70-65 advantage with 5:25 left to play.

Allegheny got as close at two points at 71-69 with 3:25 remaining but Davidson scored six points and Hallstrom added a basket over the next two minutes to stretch the lead to 77-69. Watson hit a pair of free throws in the closing minute to push the lead to double-digits before eventually claiming the 12-point victory.

Wabash outscored Allegheny 47-35 in the second half after the two teams headed to the locker room at halftime tied at 36-36.

Jordan Rawls finished with 19 points to lead Allegheny in scoring. Nihon Kirkman scored 17 points. Roberts tallied 11 points.

The win extends the Little Giants' home victory streak to eight games. Wabash lost its season-opening contest 77-76 to Centre College back on November 14. The Colonels are 20-3 overall and ranked 19
th in the latest top-25 poll. Wabash will attempt to push the home streak to nine games with a Saturday contest against Hiram College at 2 p.m. after the annual alumni game takes place at 11 a.m. Hiram lost 94-67 at DePauw Friday evening.
