Wabash opened the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its 2021 fall season at the College of Wooster Saturday. The Little Giants took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick, but a penalty kick by Wooster in the closing minutes of regulation resulted in a 1-1 double-overtime tie.

Wabash (7-2-1, 0-0-1 NCAC) took the 1-0 lead in the 28
th minute of the match.
Mitchell Keeling scored his fourth goal of the season by converting a penalty kick after the host Fighting Scots (6-2-1, 0-0-1) committed a foul in the box.

The 1-0 lead held up until a penalty on Wabash in the box with 3:15 remaining in regulation led to a Max Hill goal and a 1-1 tie.

Both teams managed one shot in the first overtime session. Wooster put a shot on goal in the second OT, but it was turned away by Wabash starting goalkeeper
Andrew Dever. Dever recorded a total of six saves in the contest.

Wabash was outshot 18-7 overall but put four shots on goal compared to seven for Wooster. Keeling led the Little Giants with three shots on goal.

Wabash returns to action on Saturday, October 2, with a home match at 1 p.m. versus Hiram College.
